An Introduction to Essential Oils + Karla's top kick-ass oils for 20-something goddesses

Essential oils are a pretty hot topic at the moment in the wellness arena so naturally I was curious to learn more. I've enjoyed playing around with essential oils a little myself but I'm still relatively new to them. I've asked my lovely blogging pal, Karla, to share her experience with essential oils and give her top suggestions for all a 20-something's needs: solutions for creativity, cleansing and detoxing, sleep, anxiety and stress, confidence and self-belief.

Karla works as a doTERRA essential oil advocate and has much more wisdom on the topic than me so I thought I'd hand this one over to her...

Homemade Natural Hair Oil

Homemade Natural Hair Oil

The secret to glossy locks? Hair oil. You probably realised this around the time that Moroccan Oil hit the shelves and became a celeb fave. It makes all other hair serums and leave-in conditioners redundant. But the ones you buy in the chemist’s ain’t cheap!

I have tried using pure organic argan oil (the star ingredient of most commercial hair oils) alone but it was too heavy and left my hair too oily for my liking. Plus, it’s a little dark for blonde hair like mine.

So what if you could make your own? Yep, homemade natural hair oil. Free from any nasties and super nourishing for your hair. I did a little experimenting and came up with this marvelously simple, cost-effective and fuss-free recipe. You can scent it however you like and add some more oils for added goodness but the main ingredients work wonders without them and you don’t need to go out and spend a ton of time finding obscure ingredients.

7 Common Sense Tips for Clear Skin That You Probably Don't Follow

Who doesn't want clear skin? I sure do. I've tried more than my fair share of weird and wonderful tricks over the years in the pursuit of glowing skin, not to mention spent a shed load on lotions and potions. Sadly, Clearasil just won't cut it. Along my little journey of clear-skin-discovery I've come to realise that the secret doesn't always lie within a bottle and, whilst there were some big lifestyle and diet changes that have made a huge difference to the condition of my skin, I have also discovered a number of sweet little tips that can have a really positive impact alone.

Sometimes we forget to cover the basics before diving head first into a complicated beauty regime. But let me tell you, achieving clear skin needn't be hard, complicated or expensive. Quite the opposite actually. Try the tips below and see if you notice a difference. There is nothing especially groundbreaking here, and hopefully, you'll already be doing some of them, but you might not have thought of some of the others.
